We are looking for Tech Volunteers to coach adults (55+) who are interested in learning or improving their skills in one or more technical devices: PC’s, Mac’s, tablet, iPhones, Android and more. Requirements/Qualifications
- Excellent computer skills (PC, Mac, Tablets, iPhones or Androids)
- Enjoys working with aging adults
- Ability to work as a team
- Must be patient, reliable, responsible and communicate clearly
- Ability to share your knowledge, answer questions and assist all levels of participants
- Volunteers must go through volunteer process: Interview required, complete background check and attend volunteer orientation
Assignment Details:
- A variety of Tech assignments ranging from:
- Assist Tech instructor during classes/workshops (virtually or in-person)
- Teach your own class or workshop
- Guide customers through “how-to” process
- One-on-One Tutoring
- Teaching patrons, but not limited to, computer use and safety, new mobile technology features and set-up, issues and good practices
- On-site training will be provided
