San Mateo Celebrates is a weeklong National Library Week festival (April 18–25), featuring free events at the Main Library and outreach across the city. We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to help create a welcoming, well-run experience for all.
Number of volunteers needed: 5 - 7
Where: Main Library (Oak Room)
Time: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM (event 5:30-7:30pm)
Qualifications:
- Age 14 and older
- Enjoys interacting with Public
- Good communication skills
- Ability to understand and follow directions clearly
- Able to lift and/or carry 10lbs
Responsibilities:
- Set up screening and reception space (seating, signage, F&B)
- Greeters / check-in
- Ushers
- Assist with transitions (reception → film → Q&A)
