Who We Are

The San Mateo Public Library is part of the Peninsula Library System and the Main Library is conveniently located near downtown San Mateo’s stores and restaurants. It provides access to tens of thousands of books, DVDs, and CDs in a wide range of languages; free high-speed internet and wi-fi; numerous community meeting rooms; study areas; unique play and learning spaces for teens and children; and cultural events, as well as art exhibits, throughout the year.

The Hillsdale and Marina branches also provide neighborhood access to popular books, movies, and music; high speed wi-fi and internet access; and ongoing children’s programs.
