Got Tech Skills? We are looking for Tech Volunteers to coach adults (55+) who are interested in learning or improving their skills in one or more technical devices: PC’s, Mac’s, tablet, iPhones, Android and more. Requirements/Qualifications

Excellent computer skills (PC, Mac, Tablets, iPhones or Androids) Enjoys working with aging adults Ability to work as a team Must be patient, reliable, responsible and communicate clearly Ability to share your knowledge, answer questions and assist all levels of participants   Volunteers must go through volunteer process: Interview required, complete background check and attend volunteer orientation

Assignment Details:

A variety of Tech assignments ranging from: Assist Tech instructor during classes/workshops (virtually or in-person) Teach your own class or workshop Guide customers through “how-to” process One-on-One Tutoring Teaching patrons, but not limited to, computer use and safety, new mobile technology features and set-up, issues and good practices   On-site training will be provided

Volunteer: Bay Tree Senior Center (Help Prepare & Serve Healthy Lunch Meals for Seniors)

Help create an inviting and FUN family atmosphere in our senior lunch program Bay Tree Bistro. We offer nutritious meal at two locations the Senior Center and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center. We are searching for passionate, respectful, reliable and easygoing individuals to assist with making patrons feel welcomed. Volunteer’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following tasks:

Completion of relevant onsite training Greeting patrons Setting up tables in preparation of patron’s arrival Some kitchen assistance: preparing and/or plating food Serving plated food to participants Clean up of tables after the end of program Possible inventory of pantry, assisting patrons with completing and submitting forms, etc.
